About the event

As an Open Floor teacher in training, I am offering this practice class.

This will be at Albany Contemporaray Dance studio, 84 Lockyer Ave, Centennial Park, WA. No dance experience necessary, just a willingness to move for 45 - 60 minutes. Warm up space open at 5:45, movement class starts at 6:00pm.

The theme is exploring 'Play'.

This session is a great taster session for my upcoming program 'Resourcing at work for Health care providers'.

As a practice session, I am excited to be offering this as a one-off class contribution of $10.

Sessions are strictly limited to 10 participants.

What is Open Floor Practice?

Open Floor is a resource-based movement practice. We explore new ways of moving and responding to what is happening withintention and purpose. We learn to understand our habits and patterns for deeper insight and self-awareness. The more we embody different responses in our movements, the more resources we can call on to move through life with flexibility, resilience and ease.

What are the benefits?

Open Floor movement practice improves physical performance, mental health and emotional well-being. Scientific researchshows that dance can have a profound impact on our lives. People who have a regularmovementpractice are more flexible and coordinated, have clearer minds, and have a calmerpresence. When we move with others, we feel more connected to the people and the world around us. Relationships, compassion and communities grow. In this challenging world, common sense tells us to spend time dancing.
